Is this your idea of vacation?

E with cousin Lou

Three generations of Menkes

The Menke men
E with his Great Uncle Richard
The last couple of weeks have been really busy, filled with lots of visitors, fun in the sun, cooking yummy food and just enjoying our family.
After my dad and brother came to visit Brett's cousin Lou and Uncle Richard came from Missouri to meet E. It was a blessed visit and we were so glad to get to see Uncle Richard. He is 80 years young and is still so full of life. He thought E was bunches of fun!
We teased Lou for coming to our house for a little rest and relaxation but instead he insisted on washing all of our cars! He has such a servant's heart. :o)
The day before Lou and Richard got here my friend Sherry from Virginia came to look for an apartment. She didn't have any luck, but at least we got to visit for a day. They are actually in the process of packing up and leaving today to head to Texas! Yay! They will stay with us until they find a place, so I've been busy getting rooms ready and things arranged to have them and their four boys here for a while. Sherry and I will be soooooo outnumbered by boys when they arrive! :o() Snicker will be the only other girl in the house.
Brett has been working so hard since he got his second job. I am so thankful that God has provided some extra work for him to bring in extra income and I am even more thankful that he gets to work at home! It's hard to see him working so much, but being able to pay extra on bills is going to make it worth it!
E continues to keep us laughing everyday. Last night we went out for dinner before Brett had to start work and E had us laughing so hard at the restaurant we were crying. And it's amazing that once he knows he has an audience he just puts on a bigger show. He was squeeling and jumping and making vroom vroom noises and laughing at himself. It was hilarious! If only I'd had my video camera. Ahhh, the little blessings in life!
